Under the subject of BED111: Reading and Reflection Today 05,December 2022.I read a story of  " How I Thought My Grandmother to Read" Written by Sudha Murthy

The story is a first hand Narrative in which the author recall how she taught her grandmother to read.

The author grandmother had never gone to school when she is young  but had a nursed a deep desire to study. Grandmother daily follow to read a book but One day  her granddaughter went another village  so she can't read she decided to start read and write  because "There is no age Limit for learning" so she requested her grand daughter(author) to teach and became her teacher. This made her determine to learn to read even though she was sixty-two year  old .Author was amazed at the sincerity and dedication with which she applied her self for studies.

                      

                         By Dussehra, the grandmother had learnt to read and on that say of Saraswati puja she gifted her granddaughter material of frock and touched her feet as a mark of respect for young teacher.

One of the best sentences in the story is " It is not written in our scriptures that teacher should be respected, irresptive of gender and age?"

                               

                         In returned the author gifted  her favorite story "Kashi Yatri" which had inspired her grandmother to learn to read which had now published as a novel.

Because of this story I want to be a Best Teacher and learn many things.
